Byagården pre-school in Ljungby, Sweden – Customer Case by KOMPAN

Ljungby municipality in Sweden is highly committed to decreasing its greenhouse gas emissions. An important focus point in its Climate and Energy Plan is to: “Use life cycle assessments to steer towards climate-friendly procurements”. When it was time for one of the municipality’s preschools, Byagården to get a new playground, this focus played a significant part. It made them choose a play structure from KOMPAN, made of used textiles and recycled ocean waste, to decrease their carbon footprint.
