My Method: Fit a Soap Puck into a Shaving Mug!

In this video, I give a brief rundown of the method I use to get a small puck of shaving soap into a larger shaving mug (or container of any size). Here are the steps once again:

1. Using a potato peeler, peel the soap Just like you would a potsto. Place the peels into the shaving mug.

2. Use a knife to cut up that last little bit of soap nub when the peeler becomes ineffective.

3. Using a plastic cup with a nice flat bottom (Plastic! Not glass!), mash down on the soap peels so they fill and fit the bottom of the shaving mug. Get them nice and compact.

4. Using hot tap water, pour about a quarter inch or so on top of the puck and let it sit overnight.

The water will help set up the soap so you'll have a nice hard soap puck in the exact diameter of the shaving mug. Happy lathering!
