In this video build log series I am building a vintage RPM Barn Stormer 25S RC Plane Kit (or Barnstormer). The RPM Barn Stormer Series RC plane kits were produced by OK Models in the 1980s and are no longer produced. But the RPM Barn Stormer RC kits can still be found on sites like ebay. If you like to fly, build, crash and repair RC planes (Radio Control Planes), I hope this video build series will be informative, interesting and maybe entertaining.

I'm almost finished with e RC Plane build. In fact, the next video will be the final build video. But first I need to make some adjustments to the control surface throw distances. I will be setting up the high and low travel distances. In this video I show how to set the control rod connections to the proper holes in the control horns and servo arms to fine the correct amount of movement or throw of the rudder, elevator and ailerons. I also finish connecting the carburetor and muffler lines to the engine and install a Master Airscrew 10-5 propeller. I also show a homemade gasket I made for the muffler. Lastly I install the Dubro (Du-Bro) RC plane wheels on the landing gear.

This RC plane kit build is nearing completion and I hope to have the maiden flight soon. In the next, and final video of the build, I will discuss plane weight, measuring and checking the center of gravity, and calculating the RC Plane wing loading.

I have been building, flying, crashing, modifying, and repairing radio control planes for many years and enjoy sharing what I do with the radio control plane community. I fly with Futaba radio equipment, OS Max engines and Saito engines and typically run Morgan Omega and Powermaster glow fuels. I fly ARF rc planes, but I also really like to build rc plane kits.
