This video in the ACT Math Review deals with problems based on time. They are reasonably common and (unfortunately) always annoying. The good news is that you can just use really simple tricks to make these more manageable.

Here's a couple of hints for handling Time problems on the ACT

1. Try and avoid converting units, whenever possible. Break the question into steps.

2. Mark-off as you go.

Make these problems as simple as possible--counting on your fingers simple--and you'll save yourself a big headache on the ACT Math.

Be careful and set these up and you'll be just fine!
