I did not expect it to get so much traction, but I think there is an important conversation here about community, activism, personal growth, nuance.

I personally have been super frustrated with the black-and-white, thinking, the purity politics, the self-righteousness of other folks on the left. I know that we are infamous for in-fighting, one-upmanship, and absolutism. This election should have been a big wake up call to us about how harmful that thinking is for our society, our politics, the community on the left.

I want to say that Aaron reached out to me on TikTok and we had an exchange about my video. I don't have his permission to share, and I will not violate his privacy in that way, but I want to say that I appreciated his willingness to engage with this video. We are still mutuals.
