Israeli police clash with protesters demanding a hostage release deal in Tel Aviv

Police clashed with protesters in Tel Aviv during a large rally on Sunday, where tens of thousands of Israelis gathered to support families of hostages and demand their release. The protest followed Israel’s announcement that its troops had recovered the bodies of six killed hostages from a tunnel in Gaza.

The bodies of the six hostages were recovered Saturday "from an underground tunnel in the Rafah area" in southern Gaza, the military said. They were among 251 hostages seized during Hamas's 7 October attack.
