Here are some tips to ensure a safe and amusing time at this year’s fairs:

Parents: Make sure the ride is suitable for your child’s age, weight, and height.

Follow the rules: Pay attention to posted warnings and ride instructions.

Watch your step: Enter and exit rides carefully to avoid tripping.

Use safety equipment: Buckle up! Seat belts, lap bars, and harnesses are there to protect you.

Keep everything inside: Hands, arms, legs—keep them inside the ride at all times.

Wait to exit: Stay seated until the ride comes to a complete stop.

Feeling scared? Don’t hesitate to signal the ride operator to stop the ride if you’re frightened.

See something wrong? If the operator seems inattentive, speak up and notify a supervisor.

Report injuries: If an injury occurs, report it to the carnival or amusement operator in writing before leaving the premises.
