Fishguard - 33 year 'Then & Now' Comparison (1989 - 2022)

Описание к видео Fishguard - 33 year 'Then & Now' Comparison (1989 - 2022)

A journey through the Pembrokeshire town of Fishguard - two videos captured almost 33 years apart; a 'then and now' look at the town.
...
The original film was recorded standing out through the roof of a car back in September 1989 for a GCSE Geography project on 'Town Planning and Zoning' (whilst at Fishguard High School, now Ysgol Bro Gwaun).

There have been quite a few changes to the town over the past three decades including the major changes to Market Square and the introduction of the one-way system (I dismounted and pushed the bike along this section whilst filming in 2022!)

I found the 1989 video in my mother's attic in late 2021 and then in early August 2022 filmed the new version for this comparison video. The latest video was recorded with a GoPro camera mounted to a cycle helmet.

I've uploaded the video here for the benefit of everyone from Fishguard, past, present and future.
