serves 3

In a pot, heat
4 tbsp oil
1 large onion sliced

saute till you see translucent onions
now,
Add:
Tez patta 2-3
zeera 1 tsp full
black pepper corns 8-10
long 5-6
cinnamon stick 1
ginger paste 1 tsp
garlic paste 1 tsp

now add,
3 potatoes ( quantity and cutting as per choice)
4 tomatoes (cutting as per your choice)

mix, cover and cool till tomatoes are mushy.
takes 8-10 minutes

Add,
Salt to taste
red chilli flakes half tsp
red chilli powder 1 tsp
haldi 1 tsp
zeera aur dhaniya (roasted and crushed) 1 tsp

Green chillies, cut according to your choice
peas (optional)


Now Add,
1.5 cup washed and soaked rice. fry the rice.
add water to the level of inch of your finger.
add kasuri methi.
let more than half of the water dries out.
cover and give dum for 10 minutes
enjoy
