Jonathan Rivers is a successful architect whose world collapses when his wife Anna mysteriously dies in a car accident. He becomes emotionally consumed and desperate for answers. Soon after, a strange man tells Jonathan that Anna has been trying to communicate through EVP — Electronic Voice Phenomena, where voices of the dead can be captured on audio or video devices.
Jonathan is skeptical, but when unexplained messages and eerie recordings begin showing up on his TV and computer, his grief turns into obsession. He joins a small group that studies EVP, and he starts hearing Anna’s voice more clearly — pleading for help, warning him of danger, and guiding him toward people in trouble.
But Jonathan eventually discovers that not all spirits communicating through EVP are friendly. Some are violent, predatory entities that use electronic signals to manipulate the living. When Jonathan follows Anna’s warnings, he finds himself pulled into a deadly confrontation with forces that want him silenced forever.
White Noise explores the thin line between love, grief, technology, and the supernatural — suggesting that if we open a door to the afterlife, we might not like who comes through.
