Delhi is experiencing record-breaking cold this January as temperatures have dropped to the season’s lowest. Palam area recorded a minimum temperature of 2.3°C, while Delhi-NCR saw mercury fall to 2.9°C. Gurugram reported near zero-degree temperature. Severe cold wave and dense fog continue to affect daily life, traffic, and visibility across the capital and nearby regions. The cold spell is not limited to Delhi alone, as North India is facing extreme winter conditions. Srinagar recorded minus 5°C, while several parts of Rajasthan witnessed temperatures touching zero degrees.
