Umair Jaliawala has been a phenomenal corporate trainer as well as an amazing storyteller who knows his craft really well. I delved deeper into the influences that made Umair one of the most influential storytellers in the country whose expertise are employed beyond borders as well. We discussed how he managed to take the road less travelled after graduation while people his age (including me) were joining corporations to start their so-called careers. This part also highlighted the way he has challenged the status quo this far so much so that he was attacked once at gunpoint for raising voice. We had in depth discussion about the books that can change lives and I also asked him about the motivation that everybody wants but avoids as well.

We talked about ways parents have been affecting lives of their future generation and also sought solutions in the form of strategies. This brought us to what is happening with Gen Z. We also discussed the best and the worst things that have happened to this generation and how they are different from us Millennials. We threw light on some specifically interesting topics such as AI going against human skills and dark side of husband-and-wife jokes. We concluded the discussion with few comparisons that seem to serve the industrial avenue. Another interesting aspect was entrepreneurial spirit that Umair talks about in trainings while saying to the audiences: "You are not here to become CEOs.", which happens to defy the corporate intentions in the very first place.
