I am learning how to edit videos, so I put together this short ATV Bear Encounter. As I approached the bear he didn't notice me at first, when he did, it scared the s*** out of both of us. That is why you see the camera shake and the bear climb the tree. I didn't even know bears climbed trees. The next day I saw a bear in a tree sleeping. The bear is about 400 pounds.He was shot and killed the next day by the sheriffs department. The reason being was that the bear came into town and was eating out of the garbage. The people here in McCall see the bears as a nuisance, so the police were called. When they arrived the bear was aggressive and challenged them so they shot him. RIP Mr Bear. We love you. The filming was done near McCall Idaho(where I reside) in the Payette mountains near little Payette lake not 10 minutes from my home. I am riding a new 2013 Polaris sportsman 500 HO. I am breaking her in. The camera I used was Nikon Coolpix taped to my helmet,lol. Sorry for the poor quality. I have a CountorRoam2 helmet cam on order which should arrive today(9/5/13).
