Billing Process VF01:

Definition: Billing & An Invoice: The amount of money owed by a consumer to a firm/company is known as a bill.
A billing document is created with reference to a preceding document. (Order Related Or Delivery)
For example: We create an Invoice (F2) on the basis of an Outbound delivery to request payment from the Customer/Payer.
(Invoices, credit memos, debit memos and cancellation documents etc..,).

Billing Process in System:

1. Transaction code VF01 for Creating a Billing Document.
SAP Menu: Logistics Sales and Distribution Billing Billing Document Create Billing (VF01)
With Reference to Delivery Document (VF01).
Alternatively, it is also possible to create the Billing directly from VA02, using menu Sales Document  Billing.

2. In Billing Overview Screen, Important data in billing is contained in following three screens which in turn have several tabs.
○ Overview Screen: Presents user with main Header data of document and links to other screens to which user can navigate.
○ Header Details: Screen has tab of various important header data which applies to the entire document.
Payer, Billing date, Net Value, Payments w/Incoterms Terms & Pricing elements.
○ Item Details: Item screen displays data on individual items in a billing. Item screen also has various tabs containing various relevant data.
Product/Material Number, Billing Quantity, Net value of item, Weight & volume etc.,

3. Billing Types: Basic control of billing is based on Billing types.
Transaction code: VOFA

4. Tables - Billing - SE16n
Header VBRK
Item Level VBRP

• VF02 − To change the Billing Document
• VF03 − Display Billing Document
• VF11 − Cancel a Billing Document
• VF05 − List Billing Document
