Another blues evergreen aka "Had My Fun". First recorded by "St Louis" Jimmy Oden in 1941. He performed this tale about a dying man so convincingly he got "get well cards" from all over the country.
I pieced this together listening to Lightnin' Hopkins and especially British bluesguitarist Geoff Bradford. He recorded this in 1976 on an lp called "The Right String". He was already a well respected guitarist in the early 60ties and knew Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones well. Brian was forming the the band then but somehow Keith and Mick got the job and Geoff missed the boat to stardom.
