Russia's growing friendship with the Taliban

Since Russia has been isolated from the Western world, it has been trying to establish closer ties with fellow dictatorships, such as those in China, Iran, and North Korea. Another notable regime that Russia became close with is the Afghani Taliban. Even though the Taliban is legally considered a terrorist organization in Russia, that does not stop the movement's delegations from being welcomed guests in Russia.
