Nandala being so immersed in the Natir Puja, he painted the same with a different technique at the Kirti Mandir in Baroda.

Episodes from Chandilika, another dance drama on Buddhist theme also finds depiction on the walls of the Cheena Bhavan in a single panel by Nandalals versatile colleague Vinayak Masoji.

Completely different in style, outlook and composition from these Buddhist murals stands the wonderful mural of the campus life viewed through a number of motifs loosely strung together on the first floor of the building by Benode Bihari.

Benode Bihari gives us a more indulgent fuel in a more detached manner by a gentle sense of humour juxtaposing as it were the trivial and the serious.

Benode Bihari’s mural in the Hindi Bhavan at Santiniketan, is his next and most acclaimed achievement revolving around the lives of the medieval saints. The verses of Kabir, Tulsidas and Surdas the three masters of the medieval Hindi literature.

Later a prominent graphic artist called Somnath Hore taking technical cues from Binode Bihari started working on the murals. Another outstanding artist of Santiniketan is KG Subramanyum, his involvement with murals date back to his student days.
