The number of the day is 4. That's because Eskom has implemented stage 4 load shedding. For some people that means up to 9 hours of load shedding per day. After a respite from load shedding for several days, Eskom has gone from stage 1 to stage 2 to stage 4 load shedding in a matter of two days. The company says this is due to an additional generating unit breakdown at Koeberg nuclear power station. To discuss we're joined via skype by Eskom spokesperson, Sikonathi Mantshantsha.
