Farmers' agitation: 'President has moral role in guiding govt,' says Shashi Tharoor

New Delhi, Dec 24 (ANI): Congress leader Rahul Gandhi along with other party leaders will meet President Ram Nath Kovind today to submit a memorandum containing 2 crore signatures seeking his intervention in farmers' agitation. Party leader and Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor said that the President has an "important and moral role" in encouraging and guiding the government to not stand on their legislative pride. Tharoor further said that no one wants the farmers to suffer in cold Delhi winters but at the same time no one wants to see this kind of paralysis.
