Before becoming a franchise owner, Adelaide Aiken and her family were longtime Pigtails & Crewcuts customers. With three daughters who loved getting their hair cut, she noticed a void when they moved to Asheville and realized the community needed a similar experience. That realization led her to explore opening a salon of her own.

With no background in cosmetology or business, she trusted the support of the Pigtails & Crewcuts franchise system. Today, she owns a salon she finds both fun and meaningful. Adelaide loves creating a safe, welcoming space for kids, including those with sensory sensitivities, and connecting with local families during every visit.

As a former social worker, Adelaide’s personal values align closely with the brand’s focus on integrity, compassion, and community involvement. From supporting foster care initiatives to serving as a donation center after Hurricane Helene, she is proud to give back alongside her team. She is grateful for the support she has received and believes future owners should never doubt themselves.
