Fly Tying: Pheasant Rump Muddler

Описание к видео Fly Tying: Pheasant Rump Muddler

Something that I strive to do with nearly all my fly tying, is to generate Silhouette Counterparts within similar material sets. Good examples:
Jerk Jr. (high and tight) and Fuzz Jr. (bulkhead) and Slow Jig Clouser (low profile) - Single Hook Dubbing Brush Flies
Super Jerk (high and tight) and Hot Fuzz (bulkhead) and Skinny Dipper (sculpin) - Articulated Dubbing Brush Flies
Impostor (high and tight) and Chosen One (bulkhead)
Con Man (high and tight) and Articulated Geezer (bulkhead) - Zonker Flies over SF Blend
ect......

Now fish silhouettes can be as accurate/complicated as you'd like to make them, but for the most part they are easily simplified. The purpose of this fly is a simple adaptation to the Pheasant Rump Baitfish pattern allowing us to more accurately imitate low water column species such as Sculpin and Gobies, and is a perfect example of a silhouette counterpart.
