How to disable Private/Random MAC Addresses on Android devices

Описание к видео How to disable Private/Random MAC Addresses on Android devices

In our campus environment, a DHCP server is deployed in the network. The purpose of this DHCP server is to ensure that everybody will be assigned with correct IP Address based on location. Therefore, issues such as IP conflict or non-designated IP for specific areas are resolved.

Our devices such as smartphones and tablets, travel between locations and connect to different access points within a USMNet Wireless Network.

With the new operating system installed in our devices, a new feature called Random MAC Address/Private Addresses was introduced. Some devices are enabled by DEFAULT, receiving multiple IP address leases from DHCP.

This will cause the scope to be fully used and therefore will not allow new devices to connect since there are no more IP addresses to assign. To prevent the issues happen, the usage of the "Random MAC Address/Private Addresses" functionality is prohibited and no longer supported.

This tutorial will guide you to disable the "Random MAC Address/Private Addresses" functionality.
