Dolgarreg Ddu was my first attempt at model railway building. It uses 009 scale to depict a fictional modern day preserved Welsh narrow gauge railway. Inspiration comes from all over, but particularly the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland, Corris, Talyllyn, Welshpool & Llanfair, and Brecon Mountain railways. As my first attempt there were a few things I wasn't happy with or could have done better, so with a recent house move I decided the time had come to dismantle the layout and use the remains as the basis of a new, more ambitious line. Before doing so, I couldn't resist making a short video of the final trains to remember the line by. I hope you enjoy!
