Rio Grande Southern: Stock Train

Bill Scobie's Rio Grande Southern Sn3 Layout is featured. The run starts with the (RGS) Stock Train leaving the pens at Rico with a train load of sheep. Then it traverses the layout with three helpers working up grade through Butterfly and Ophir to Trout Lake. The stock train meets a Way Freight at Ophir Siding. After crossing several trestles, the train enters Trout Lake and the helpers are then cut off the train, It then continues down grade through Vance Junction, Vanadium, Falls Creek,Placerville, Brown to Ridgeway. At Ridgeway, the train switches to interchange with the Denver and Rio Grande Western (D&RGW). From there the D&RGW power leads the train out of town, taking the stock cars full of (Baa Baa Baa) sheep to Montrose.
