Road Construction Timelapse | South Airport Road [Full Project 2018]

Timelapse video of South Airport Road reconstruction project. This road construction project started in April 2018 and finished about three weeks early at the beginning of June 2018.

Team Elmer's had a late start to the project due to late winter weather occurrences. Despite the weather Team Elmer's was able to complete the project roughly three weeks early from their original completion date. This was accomplished by partnering with the Grand Traverse Road Commission and working together with ideas and planning that gave the ability to expedite the process of the project overall.

One of the techniques that saved time was piling excess existing material to another location of the site, which allowed for a thicker asphalt cross-section and the excess hauled off-site later making more efficient use of time and materials.
