SINGING WITH AN 'OPEN' THROAT: The Low Larynx

Описание к видео SINGING WITH AN 'OPEN' THROAT: The Low Larynx

In this video, I discuss several ways to achieve and maintain a comfortably low and stable larynx during singing. I explain how breath management affects the position (height) and stability of the larynx, and offer some imagery, (including a brief exploration of the concept of 'inhalare la voce'), and practical exercises for laryngeal lowering and stabilization. I also touch upon the kind of passive vowel modification that results from a vocal tract length that remains stable (via the laryngeal tilt) as pitch ascends.
