Disco Nights - GQ (1978) - bass

As a 16yo, when this song came out, I could not yet fully "grasp" the feel of this bass line, but now, 35 years later, I finally got it, after 2 days and some 20 takes :).
When playing songs from that era, never think "technique", think "easy and lazy" when searching the best positions for the left hand. Only after I played the last three notes of the riff on the E-A-A string, instead of E-E-A, the rhythmic puzzle fell in place, and the feel became right, finally.

Played on Music Man Sabre '79, both pickups, EQ medium position, flatwounds, no other effects/compression/audio interface/pre- of postprocessing. Bass into small mixing console, then straight into notebook Mic In.
