Oliver Ekman-Larsson: Florida Panthers D-Man Meets Vancouver Canucks after Buyout

The Panthers are coming off a 3-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs and play host to the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday night.

This will be the first time OEL meets the Canucks since they bought out the final four years of his contract - at a price of over $19 million - in June.

Ekman-Larsson signed a one-year deal with the Panthers on July 1 and, through four games, has a goal with two points and leads the team in average ice time.

Thursday, the Panthers took a 2-0 lead in the first on goals from Kevin Stenlund and Ekman-Larsson; Sam Reinhart got his fourth of the season by scoring into an empty net at the buzzer.

Sergei Bobrovsky made 29 saves in the win.
