You probably have an idea of who the best and worst pitchers in Major League Baseball are. But can you think of who is the most average?

In this video, I use a combination of 11 different statistics to find the most average starting pitcher, most average relief pitcher, and most average pitcher regardless of usage for the 2019 season. These stats include variations of earned run average, fielding independent pitching, and expected fielding independent pitching, as well as stats like strikeout percentage and walk percentage.

After finding our most average pitchers for 2019, I expand our search to include 2017 and 2018, so we can find the most average pitcher over a 3 year span.

Just remember: average baseball players, especially pitchers, are still valuable.
