Darvel - The Hidden Valley - Darvel History Documentary

Documentary discussing the history and contemporary goings-on in Darvel, Ayrshire, Scotland. Produced in 1996 and the first of three documentaries produced about the Irvine Valley towns.

Interesting inclusions in this documentary are film inside the old lace mills, which are all-but-gone now. Similarly, the documentary includes film of various buildings, shops & factories which are now gone or demolished. There's also a lot of film of Darvel residents involved in various social pursuits at the time.

This documentary was originally produced by Bobby & Margaret Young in 1996 - this copy was taken directly from the original master VHS, so I apologise for the audio & video quality. It may be possible to digitise it from the original master recording tapes, so I will do this in future if possible.
