With Merseyrail currently in the transition phase of replacing their life expired class 507 and 508 PEPs with Stadler class 777s, this video takes a look at both the old and new in action at Sandhills, Birkenhead Park, Spital, Hooton and one final shot of 508114 at Chester
Although class 777s have now started to appear on all Wirral routes, most Wirral diagrams on this particular day were PEPs. All Southport services are still PEPs for the time being
