Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted the champions of the Women’s World Cup at his residence at Lok Kalyan Marg yesterday. Mr Modi congratulated the women’s cricket team on their victory and praised their remarkable comeback in the tournament after a string of three defeats. The Prime Minister also urged the players to take forward the message of Fit India, especially for girls across the country. Mr Modi discussed the growing problem of obesity and highlighted the importance of being fit. He said go to your schools and motivate young minds there. During the meeting, Captain Harmanpreet Kaur recalled meeting Mr Modi in 2017, when they had met him without the trophy. She expressed hope that they would meet him more often with the trophy. Vice-Captain Smriti Mandhana said that the Prime Minister had motivated them and had been an inspiration for all of them. She also spoke about how girls are excelling in all fields today, and credited the Prime Minister for being a source of encouragement. Deepti Sharma recalled her 2017 meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, when the Prime Minister had advised her to keep working hard.

MEITY
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) unveiled the India AI Governance Guidelines in New Delhi on Monday. These guidelines are a comprehensive framework to ensure safe, inclusive, and responsible AI adoption across various sectors. The guidelines were unveiled by Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood, in the presence of MeitY Secretary S. Krishnan. Speaking on this occasion, Prof. Sood said that the guiding principle that defines the spirit of the framework is simple, Do No Harm. He also said, the India AI Mission will enable this ecosystem and inspire many nations.

DDMA
The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Keyi Panyor on Wednesday commenced a three-day Community Volunteer Training Programme at Tajgi village under Param Putu circle. The initiative was organised under the directive of the State’s Department of Disaster Management, to strengthen local disaster preparedness and response capacities. The programme aims to build a cadre of 100 trained community volunteers from the most vulnerable villages across the district. The training programmes will also be conducted at Deed from 10th to 12th of this month and at Yazali from 13th to 15th of this month. The DDMA also encouraged active participation from all communities and assured continued efforts toward strengthening disaster resilience across Keyi Panyor district.

LIKABALI:: 56 INFANTRY DIVISION, 188 MILITARY HOSPITAL
Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Arunachal Pradesh yesterday donated a well-equipped ambulance to the 56 Infantry Division, 188 Military Hospital, Military Engineer Services (MES), Likabali, Lower Siang District, to boost better health facilities and extend camaraderie between the armed forces and civilian bodies. Speaking on the occasion, the District Medical Officer Dr. Nyage Geyi said donating an ambulance is a mark of strong bonding between the Army and Civilian and which will benefit both the Armed Forces and the Civilian of the area. Colonel Takio Teyi, Commanding Officer, 188 Military Hospital while taking delivery of the ambulance, extended his gratefulness to the Government of Arunachal Pradesh for timely delivery of the well-equipped ambulance and expressed his desire to further collaborate more in the future so that it provides expected mutual assistance and opportunities for all sections of the. The formal function was initiated by the Minister Health & Family Welfare Biyuram Waghe, coordinated by Marge Sora, Mission Director, National Health Mission. Brigadier Vikram Lawand, Deputy General Officer Commanding, 56 Infantry Division and others were also present during the occasion.

SCHOOL
Agriculture, Horticulture & Allied Minister Gabriel D Wangsu on Tuesday inaugurated the upgraded infrastructure of Govt. Primary School (GPS) building at Chajem in Longding district. In a social media post, he wished that the new space will inspire all the students to pursue great dreams and achievements.

PAPUMPARE AMBULANCE DONATION
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative (CSR), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL) has donated two ambulances to strengthen healthcare accessibility in rural areas of Papum Pare. The ambulances were flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner Papum Pare Vishakha Yadav, ensuring faster emergency response & better medical support. District Medical Officer Dr. Reena Ronya and officials from Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. and the medical department were present during the flag-off ceremony.
