JOHN AND ESTHER DOWRY CELEBRATIONS

Описание к видео JOHN AND ESTHER DOWRY CELEBRATIONS

A wonderful ceremony in Gikuyu, a community within Mt. Kenya region. Dowry payment is celebrated mostly because it cements the relationship by marriage between two families - that of the bride and that of the bridegroom. The same unity showed respect to the bride's family for bringing up her in a well mannered characters and as a sign of appreciation to the bride for accepting the bridegroom for her the rest of life as a husband to her. Dowry payment calls for blessings to their children and emphatically becomes a reason for the two married people to know they can only be separated by death. This cultural activity is the pinnacle of total settlement to marriage and each of them belongs to the other without any interference from anyone.
