In this video you will see that we spent a half day visiting Ranthambore Fort then we proceeded to Alwar - Rajasthan

We are visiting the Ranthambore Fort with an experienced guide Mr. DD Sharma Ji, we met him at Bharatpur bird sanctuary 3 years back.

He conducts coaching classes on birds for people who are already into this profession.

Ranthambore Fort - We travelled almost 8 km from Sawai Madhopur to Reached at Ranthambore fort.

This Fort was built by Maharaja Jayanta in the 5th Century. Due to its strategic location, it was ideal to keep the enemy at bay. The fort is also related to the historical legend of the royal women performing ‘jauhar’ (self-immolation) when the Muslim invader Alauddin Khilji laid siege on this fort in 1303. The fort is characterised by temples, tanks, massive gates and huge walls.

32 khambo ki Chatthri - Also visited 32 Khambo ki Chatthri which is situated in the fort itself and we did darshan of Lord Shiva.

There we also noticed a Lake where women perform Johar and it’s called “Jal Johar”. 1.5 years ago when we visited Chittorgarh, Rajasthan there we also saw a place of Johar.

Trinetra Ganesh Temple - After this we visited Trinetra Ganesh Temple is the famous and oldest temple of Lord Ganesha in Rajasthan. We did Darshan at the temple and took blessing from Lord Ganesha.

Then when we returned from the fort we noticed a place from where we saw the amazing Aerial view. If you are visiting the fort this view you don’t have to miss it.

After this, we dropped Mr DD Sharma ji at Sawai Madhopur and we headed to Alwar.

Day - 2 - Alwar

We started our day in Alwar at the Hope Circus which is the famous landmark of Alwar.

Milk Cake at Baba Thakur Das & Sons - After this, we had a famous Milk cake or Kalakand of Alwar from the oldest shop - Baba Thakur Das & Sons & also take some boxes from home.

Milk Cake Price - Rs 430 per kg

Breakfast at Kanhiya Sweets - Then we had our breakfast of Kadhi-Kachori at Kanhiya Sweets.

Kachori - Rs 20 per piece

Silserh Lake - After breakfast we headed to visit Siliserh Lake, Alwar. It was created in 1845 by Maharaja Vinay Singh for the purpose of supplying water to the city of Alwar and nearby areas. This lake covers an area of 10.5 sq. ft kms.

It’ 's a beautiful Lake and there we also noticed a palace which was built by Maharaja Vinay Singh for her wife now It's an RTDC-owned property.

Lunch at Prem Pavitra Bhojanalaya - Then we had our Lunch at very old Prem Pavitra Bhojnalya, Alwar. We had a very famous Dal of this food- a joint.

After lunch, we returned to Delhi via Delhi.
