[SW] 6159.95 kHz - Hobart Radio Intl via WBCQ, Monticello, ME - heard in Poland, Jan 31 2021

Hobart Radio International noted with news about coronavirus vaccine dispute in Europe and fears of China's military intervention in Taiwan, as broadcast via WBCQ in Monticello, ME, USA at 23:34 UTC Jan 31st, 2021. The broadcast was aired using a 50kW transmitter and a rhombic antenna beaming 245deg, i.e. to middle of the US, but a fraction of the signal has made it through the Atlantic (and a few countries on land) into my test loop antenna.

Via Twente WebSDR, at 00:09 UTC Feb 1st, I measured the exact carrier frequency as 6159.925 kHz, but it is prone to a degree of drift. The signal there was too weak to allow for any readable audio.

This reception, however, was made in NE Poland using an Airspy HF+ Discovery & a 10m circumference randomly shaped single-turn loop antenna.
