Vietnam War - fighting and peace negotiations.

Aerial view of the bombs exploding on the ground. The commentator speaks of many years of war and despair.
A black French Government Citroen turns into the front drive of a country house as officials open the gates. A Vietnamese man waves from a balcony. He is Le Duc Tho (?) of the Hanoi delegation, i.e. representing North Vietnam at the Peace talks in France. Henry Kissinger representing the USA arrives smiling with two accompanying officials. More officials arrive; the place, says the commentator is in a Parisian suburb.
Richard Nixon takes the oath on the Capitol at the start of his second term of office (January 1973) watched by the House Speaker and Mrs Nixon.
Kissinger and Le Duc Tho leave the talks in Paris waving and smiling for the media. Camera crews are filming. They shake hands. Various men and one woman, both American and Vietnamese enter a grand chamber with a massive chandelier. They take seats at a grand table and sign a Provisional Accord. They represent four separate parties to the Agreement.
USA, South Vietnam, North Vietnam, Provisional Revolutionary Government (of all Vietnam?) the camera tracks across delegation members and pans on various signatories. But this is a cease-fire.
A military aircraft lands on an airstrip - a pilot gets out, removes his helmet and replaces a metal cap on the aircraft. Still of a family lined up in Vietnam. A Vietnamese woman in a headscarf operates a crane with Caterpillar arm. The arm lands on debris left by bombing. There is a compound surrounded by tangled barbed wire. This is brought into the foreground. Vietnamese people ride bicycles and rickshaws through the streets of Saigon. People shop in markets. A vendor carrying a huge pile of balloons walks across the street. More scenes of busy town life in Saigon.
Filmed from behind, a man on crutches walks towards a large tent. Children come into view. This is a refugee camp. Men and women work in a cornfield wearing pointed hats. They cut the crop with scythes and load it into large round-shaped baskets. A nurse lifts a very small baby from a hospital bed. Close-up of the baby's face held in her arms. Other infants in nappies crawl and sit in high chairs. One is bottle fed by a mother.
