Here is a recording taken from my gig in Cross-club Prague.
In this track it was a challenge to keep the atmosphere ambivalent and not too genre specific while getting the groove to work, It was very tempting to put a classic dub kind of bass line.
It was also interesting to figure out how to mix Four bass parts -
Kick, toms, sub and that ARP acid bassline.
All the percussion and HH are played on the DSI Tempest, I'v been drilling on this finger drumming quite a lot.
Tempest voices are routed to Four multi effected tracks in the Presonus Quantum seen bellow it.
I play thru the DAW with 3.5 milliseconds latency (no direct monitoring) and send MIDI clock from the Presonus Quantum, I found out that sending MIDI clock via USB is much less accurate.
Avoiding direct monitoring also allows me to record every track in my gig including FX.
