Second series of Coke Zero Presents: Wayne Rooneys Street Striker sees Manchester United and England star continue hunt for street football stars

Sunday 8th November 2009 sees the return of Coke Zero Presents: Wayne Rooneys Street Striker a UK wide competition to find the nations most skilful street footballers.

The show, to be shown on Sky1 HD and Sky1 at 6.00pm, will be fronted by Manchester United and England star Wayne Rooney, along with co-presenter Andy Ansah.

Thousands of teenagers entered to appear on the show this summer, showing off their street football skills in trials around the UK.

Twenty four lucky youngsters who best embodied Wayne Rooneys passion, determination, skill and raw talent, were selected from the trials. They will now go head-to-head in front of Wayne Rooney in a series of street football challenges, battling it out to become 2009s Coke Zero Street Striker and win a once in a lifetime opportunity to attend the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ Final in South Africa.

Wayne Rooney says: Its been fantastic to see so many youngsters with such drive and ambition as well as huge skill on this years show. Its also good to see so many girls taking part and holding their own against the boys. With tougher street football challenges to face, everyone really had to raise their game to get through. Its going to be a great show.

Wayne Rooney has been an official ambassador for Coke since 2004 and Coke Zero Presents: Wayne Rooneys Street Striker has been running since 2005. This is the second year running that the show has been broadcast on Sky1.

Our aim was to give more talented footballers the chance to see if they had what it took to be the Coke Zero Street Striker. Were really pleased with how popular it has become.
