PENTAX has started a new project —a mission to develop a PENTAX-brand film camera that younger photographers will really enjoy.

The popularity of film cameras is spreading worldwide, especially among the younger generation who are looking for the unique colors that the film camera creates and its simple, classic operation.

PENTAX would also like to provide a film camera experience that will be fun for everyone.

Now is the first step toward the new challenge.
And we would like to make this happen by working together with those who love film cameras.

In this episode, PENTAX welcomes you to the actual place where it develops film cameras, as experienced by a young photographer who loves film cameras.

Shiori Iwakura, photographer
Living in Kagawa Prefecture in Shikoku, Iwakura largely uses film cameras to capture images of the passing seasons, with an emphasis on light. In addition to releasing the images she captures in Kagawa on SNS sites and organizing photo exhibitions, she also takes photos for CD jackets, book covers and advertising projects. She published her first photo book, Sayonara-wa Aoiro (Farewells are in Blue), from Kadokawa Corporation in March of 2019.
