It’s finally Crane Day! Time to get the salvaged Cape Dory pulled out of the water so the insurance adjuster can come to take a look at it and the 27ft Catalina from a couple of weeks ago so it can have some bottom work done. Matt from Harbour Crane Service ‪@harbourcraneservice4861‬ and the crew of Bayshore Gardens Marina did an amazing job getting these boats rigged up and hauled out quickly and safely! There are plenty of fail videos on YouTube of cranes lifting boats, but after watching these guys do this a couple of times now, it just goes to show that a competent operator and crew can do it without any issues.

AI-Generated Description:

Welcome to Crane Day! After weeks of preparation, it's finally time to get the salvaged Cape Dory pulled from the water. This boat has been through a lot, and now it's ready for inspection by the insurance adjuster to assess the damage. At the same time, our 27ft Catalina, which you may remember from a couple of weeks ago, is also being lifted out for some much-needed bottom work.
This video showcases the incredible expertise of Matt from Harbour Crane Service and the dedicated crew at Bayshore Gardens Marina. From rigging the boats to the final lift, the team worked quickly, efficiently, and—most importantly—safely. Their precision and experience were on full display, proving that with the right operator and crew, complex jobs like these can be done smoothly, without any of the failures that often go viral online.
Cranes lifting boats can sometimes go wrong, and we've all seen those dramatic fails on YouTube. But in this video, you'll see exactly how it's supposed to be done, with expert coordination between the crane operator and marina crew. Everything was set up perfectly, and both the Cape Dory and the Catalina were hauled out without any issues, ready for their next steps.
If you’re interested in boating, salvage operations, or just want to see how professionals get the job done, this is the video for you. You'll also get a behind-the-scenes look at what happens after a boat is salvaged, the role of the insurance adjuster, and what bottom work involves for a sailboat like the Catalina.
