Margaret Alva recalls the long struggle to pass Women’s Reservation Bill

Veteran Congress leader Margaret Alva, who headed a committee that proposed reservation in elected bodies in 1988, said that if the Women’s Reservation Bill passes in parliament, it will be a dream come true for her. The former Union Minister recalled the long struggle to pass the Bill and the opposition to her committee’s recommendations in the Congress cabinet.
