I agree that for reasons of longevity of the pliers (pliers without play), the pliers are a little stiff when they are new: but obviously not too much! Moreover, it should be noted that the pliers of the new SwissTools from Victorinox do not encounter this problem. For a few years, Leatherman does not seem to want to fix it by delivering pliers that are systematically much too stiff...
