Backrooms - Level 38 (found footage)

This recovered reel—apparently sourced from a heavily degraded VHS tape—appears to document a machine-driven exploratory mission into a submerged, otherworldly structure. The date stamp and origins are unclear, but fragments of labeling on the casing reference something called “Unit L-9” and a “Level-7 Expedition.” Audio hiss and warped images suggest these were originally transmitted via an early-era drone or remote rover, drifting through dark hallways and flooded corridors unlike any known architectural space.

Despite extensive efforts, the majority of the material remains heavily corrupted. What survived captures only glimpses of half-lit atriums, strange fluid sculptures, and abandoned alcoves. The hovering probe’s camera flickers in and out of focus, revealing sudden bursts of eerie, aquatic silence. As far as we know, no formal records exist explaining who commissioned this exploration, or why these corridors were built. Our attempts to stabilize and restore the footage have raised more questions than answers.

This is what remains. A partial, unsettling window into a place that should not be. Use caution.
