Attention!: In this tutorial you need the phone number, but only once. Smartphone is not required. It works only on Windows 7, 8 or 10 (but you can check my other tutorial if you have a Mac or Linux).

Valve want us to use Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator at all cost. But we can handle this... (how to get Steam token without smartphone)

Steam Desktop Authenticator is the fastest/easiest way to get Steam Token and trade confirmation.

I hope this will help people without smartphones (with Android or iOS).

I know this video is a little to fast, but I don't have time to improve it. If is too fast for you just pause it, please.

~ How trade hold works? ~
Let's have a look at those examples:
(SGMA = Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator)
1. You don't have a SGMA + other trader don't have it = you need to wait 3 days
2. You don't have a SGMA + other trader have it = you need to wait 3 days (unless the trader gives you free items)
3. You have a SGMA + other trader don't have it = you need to wait 3 days (unless you gives him free items)
4. You have a SGMA + other trader have it = you don't need to wait

After activate the SGMA it will take 7 days before it fully works in trades...

Other thing: You can cancel all your delayed trades (all at once), and when you do this you will get banned for 7 days.


~ I accidently lost access to my Steam account! What can I do? ~

GeneralFailure usually happen when Steam servers are busy. Just tray again later.
