Thomas Keller is widely regarded as one of the finest chefs in the entire world, and he is perhaps most well-known for being the head chef at The French Laundry in California and turning it into a world-renowned mecca of fine dining. The French Laundry is a legendary restaurant regarded as many as one of the best restaurants in the world. After about 10 years at the French Laundry though, he took his talents to the East Coast and opened Per Se around 2004, which very quickly got 3 Michelin stars, just in time for French Laundry to also become eligible for and win 3 Michelin Stars!

Ever since, Per Se has been regarded as not only one of the best restaurants in NYC, but also one of the best restaurants on Earth. It is at least for sure regarded as one of the best fine dining restaurants in NYC, as of course it's hard to compare fine dining vs casual foods. However, is Thomas Keller's icon really that great or is Per Se overrated? After all, many of you may know the Pete Wells Per Se New York Times review, where he gave it a scathing review.

I will give this famous NYC iconic restaurant a try and see if Thomas Keller's Per Se is all it's cracked up to be, or if the naysayers are right!
