Top 5 Skirmish Board Games

Wargames are some of the most feverishly followed and played games today, with massive communities for building, painting, and playing. Skirmish games are sort of a younger brother to the wargame- more focused and contained, but a similar feel. These are my faves!

I've talked about wargames a decent amount in the past, mostly about how little I know about them, and to an extent how I'd like to try. Today, it's time to discuss a sort of subheader to wargames - skirmish games. These are often meant to be scenario-driven, combat and tactical centric games which represent a smaller scale wargame. As always, I don't claim to be an expert in the categorization, or anything else for that matter, but from what I know and see, this is how things tend to categorize.
