I sometimes call myself a headstrong amateur. Because I’m not an athlete. Not even an amateur athlete. I’m an adventurer and modern-day explorer. But I like to push myself!!! And I often push myself HARD! 👊

This time I took it upon myself to complete Hong Kong’s locally famous MacLehose Trail in less than 24 hours!! It is a 100km (62mi) ultra-distance trail which runs across much of Hong Kong. And it offers more than 5,000m (16,400ft) of elevation gain – so that is far more than half of Mt. Everest total elevation! ⛰

I brought three friends onboard: Anders, Kenneth and Poul. Together we conquered “The Grandaddy of Hong Kong Hikes” in a formidable time. No new record…far from it! The record sits at 10hrs and 38mins. However we did good 👍
