About this video

We sat down with Daniel Stone, one of the founders of Bandolier media, a social media agency that does content creation for brands. While working for Bandolier, they created a brand called Classic Dad that uses Printful as their print on demand & dropshipping partner to sell dad joke merch - custom T-shirts, mugs, hats, aprons etc.

Classic Dad has a lot of dad-ism and dad-attitude designs. They get their inspiration from dads and father figures they had growing up, using phrases that most people have heard before, like: “Hey, Hungry. I’m Dad.”

Classic Dad stands out from the competition with the variety of products they offer and the original content they create. They have also developed a very active and lively community with thousands of followers. They have a big Instagram and Facebook presence and spend a lot of time curating the content - they live by the “quality over quantity” rule.

They have spent a lot of time getting to know their customers, finding the “typical dad” and adding variations to their products. Printful has given Classic Dad an opportunity to test designs without doing a massive print run commitment and Printful’s customer service has proved to be very helpful, working with Classic Dad to adjust their designs for embroidery.
