A huge sandstorm originating from Mongolia has swept across numerous parts of north China since Monday, shrouding cities in clouds of dust and causing traffic disruption.
The National Meteorological Center has already renewed its blue alert for sandstorms in most northern areas in China, warning residents that further dust storms could be expected to hit over the next week.
Some highway sections across the region were badly affected due to several small sand dunes forming on the road surface as the strong winds piled up mounds of sand
