Why a Leopard Gecko Won't Eat

Hi everyone! In today's video I discuss the many reasons why a leopard gecko may go on a food strike. Please be sure to consult other sources of information about your gecko, and it's not a bad idea to consult an exotic vet either. It's always better to be safe than sorry!

I forgot to include wax worm addiction! Some geckos will refuse all food when they've grown accustomed to the deliciousness of wax worms. Wax worms are not nutritionally significant; they are a "junk food" for your leos, so your gecko will become unhealthy if this is the only food they are eating. This dependency is hard to break and can take months, but you must be patient and continue to offer other food items that are not wax worms. Eventually, your gecko will come around.
